How Physiotherapy Can Help You
Pain Relief & Symptom Management
Working together and providing techniques and advice to help you manage symptoms and find a sense of relief. Pain doesn't always reflect the state of the bodily tissues accurately, however, I will help you understand your pain & symptoms better to gain more control over your condition.
Manual Therapy & Massage
Both manual therapy and massage are techniques that can be used for a multitude of reasons inc. pain relief, joint mobility, body confidence/re-learning, relaxation and so much more. Although not always essential to your recovery they can be a great addition to a well organized rehabilitation plan.
Exercise Perscription
Providing the appropriate exercises and progressions for your condition as you get better. I will provide you with printable and/or digital versions of your exercises to ensure that you can continue to do them well at home.
Load Management
Helping you build strength and understand better when to rest and when to push. Learning what factors affect your body aside from just physical activity alone.
Support & Motivation
Trying to recover from pain/injury alone is hard. It can be helpful to have someone in your corner helping to keep you on track and put a plan in place with you. Support can also look like working in tandem with your other healthcare providers. Together as team we can ensure cohesive care and the gold standard of health care.
Advice & Education
Learning more about your condition, how your body responds to exercise and other factors, what may and may not be helpful for you are all crucial parts of rehabilitation. I can also help you understand your MRI or other scan reports. Understanding what your scan is saying can be a great step in learning more about your body and what you're capable of. I can help you make sense of your scan.
